The Business BTEC gives you a broad understanding of business and its related functions, such as marketing, finance and human resources. This course provides you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of business and gain transferable skills, such as teamwork, problem-solving and researching.

This qualification develops use critical thinking, approach non-routine problems applying expert and creative solutions, use systems and technology. Alongside this, students will develop their intrapersonal and interpersonal skills such as, communicating, working collaboratively, negotiating and influencing, self-presentation, self-management, adaptability and resilience.

The qualification is recognised by higher education institutions as fully meeting admission requirements to many relevant courses in a variety of areas in the business sector, as single or joint programmes at degree, foundation degree or HND level. Students could look to take up employment as junior business roles in marketing, administration, finance, events management, HR, marketing and other related areas in the business sector, including higher apprenticeships.
