eSports Event

On the 6th March 2018, a handful of selected students from The Studio headed to the Belong arena in GAME, Manchester to take part in the Digital Schoolhouse eSports Tournament.

After an exciting day of numerous winning rounds as part of the regional heats, Studio eventually placed 2nd in the final to competitors St John Fisher Voluntary Academy.

Esports is a growth sector as part of the games and interactive entertainment industry and the tournament is a great opportunity for the next generation of aspiring digital professionals to experience it first-hand.

Playing in and producing esports tournaments develops many different skills as well as a sense of pride, and is a career pathway that can be hugely rewarding.
