GCSE Results Day 2018

Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students who collected their results yesterday; all of us at North Liverpool Academy are incredibly proud of you all, your hard work and determination.

Principal Emily Vernon commented on a successful results day “I am bursting with pride with our results, especially because NLA students have gained 18 grade 9s! All of our students have been rewarded for their hard work.”

Some individual highlights from the day include:

Tao Wang achieved 7 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s and an A* at GCSE and attributed his success to his ‘phenomenal experience at NLA’ stating that there was ‘no way I would have been able to do this without the help and support of his peers and the teachers at NLA.’ He is continuing at NLA 6th form and is going to study Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

Enis Gerxhaljia was physically shaking when he opened his results. He achieved 5 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, and 1 grade 7 – he exclaimed “I’m so pleased to have achieved these results!”

Esther, Moffat and Mahara Mgadawadere secured not only outstanding results, but outstanding progress scores too. The national average for progress sits around 0.0, however the terrific triplets secured an average score of 3.47. Moffat was quick to praise his teachers at NLA “the teachers at NLA are always there for you and help you when you need it.” He and his siblings celebrated their “fantastic results” with their friends at NLA.
