We’re excited to announce our upcoming Arts Festival, which will be taking place at NLA on 21 November from 5 – 7 pm. The event, which will bring together a range of arts institutions, museums, galleries, celebrities and more, will explore a range of creative forms including dance, drama, music and art.
We will be joined on the evening by LJMU School of Art, LIPA, Liverpool Lighthouse, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Natalie Green School of Dance, Resonate Music Hub, The Hammond, The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool Hope University, Edge Hill University, and many more.
Our keynote addresses will be made by Actor, Dean Sullivan – who you’ll know from playing Jimmy Corkhill in Channel 4’s long running soap opera, Brookside. And we will hear from Dr Mari Hughes-Edwards, from ‘art does not get you a job’, a new creative an interdisciplinary arts organisation.
Join us on the evening of 21 November and take part in one of our arts related activities, we’ll have everything from performances, talks, exhibitions and workshops, as well as the opportunity to talk to leading professionals and arts institutions on how a career in the arts could be the pathway for you.
“North Liverpool has a strong heritage in the arts, and we’re keen to make sure that those opportunities and aspirations are shared with our students,” says NLA’s Kate Wheeler.
“Arts courses are always popular – and often transformational – and we’re determined to make sure that NLA students can harness that enthusiasm and interest and turn it into exciting future roles and sustainable careers.”
