On Thursday 28th April a group of dancers from across the Academy went to Arch Bishop Beck to compete in the Liverpool School Sports Partnership Dance Competition.
The Year 9 Dance cohort performed a contemporary dance to ‘Not Now’. The choreograph was complicated and technical, but all students students performed with elegance; students also received high praise from a particular member of the audience.
The dance company, Flames, performed a street routine to a mix created by our Music Technician, Mr Roberts.
Our Sixth Form students performed a contemporary routine to ‘Slip’ and Emily Doyle’s choreography to ‘Alive’, which we won 1st place for. The judges commented that they were brought to tears by the the emotive choreography and talent of the dancers.
LSSP have asked North Liverpool Academy to hold their own dance competition, as they were amazed by the student’s exemplary behaviour and welcoming attitude to other students and the public. Arch Bishop Beck have also invited us back to perform in their Performing Arts Festival.
