LSSP Primary Dance Competition

Last week, we were delighted to host a primary school dance competition with LSSP (Liverpool School Sports Partnership). Seventeen primary schools from across Liverpool entered Key Stage One and Key Stage Two students into the musical mash up themed competition.

The quality of dancing and choreography from all the primary students was higher than we’ve ever seen before! It was also great to see visiting students enjoy the sessions led by our performing arts teachers.

Two groups of North Liverpool Academy students got the chance to perform too. First up, Jamie Lee Patterson, Leah Cotton, Lydia McKenna, Laurie Wood and Louise Curry from Year 9 showcased their dance skills. Followed by Year 13 BTEC students, Leah Gallagher and Fay Dermott who both delivered creative and energetic performances.

The competition was judged, very professionally, by four North Liverpool Academy students. They selected Barlows Primary School as the Key Stage One winners, and St Margaret’s Anfield as the Key Stage Two winners.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the competition and look forward to inviting all schools back to demonstrate their performances in the North Liverpool Academy summer showcase.
