Mosque and Synagogue Visit

North Liverpool Academy students have seized the opportunity to visit places of worship around Liverpool as part of their Religious Studies.

The Liverpool Old Hebrew Congregation welcomed Year 7 students to the beautiful Princes Road Synagogue where they learnt about the Jewish faith and culture, the different elements of the Synagogue and the history of the religion in Liverpool.

Year 8 students headed to the Al Rahma Masjid Mosque in Toxteth where they were welcomed by the Liverpool Muslim Society. During their visit, the students had the opportunity to see the prayer rooms, learn about the Islamic faith and culture, and begin to understand the role of the Mosque within the community.

The trips were a wonderful opportunity for students and staff to celebrate what makes Liverpool such a great and diverse place to live.
