Spring Community Celebration

North Liverpool Academy has welcomed hundreds of people from the community into the school to celebrate the start of Spring!

Students, staff and visitors enjoyed an amazing celebration starting with the excellent MD Productions opening the show with a spectacular performance, followed by a boys vs girls catwalk kindly sponsored by Resurrection on Bold Street.

Special guest speakers included High Sheriff for Merseyside, Abi Pointing, Everton goalkeeper Rachel Brown–Finnis and champion boxer Kevin Satchell. All had a great response, with the audience learning how the speakers achieved all their successes and faced their challenges.

Around the Refectory we had stalls offering advice, guidance and speaking about their own personal journeys. These included Hope St Ltd who showcased their One Magnificent City project and Liverpool Community Health Ambassador Team who offered UV face scans, health checks, manicures and more. In addition we had Scarf Nation, back by popular demand, selling their gorgeous scarves and sarongs and talking to the parents about the advantages of being an entrepreneur. In our Sports Hall we had Beat the Goalie and guests could attempt our climbing wall.

It was a hive of activity and we hope all who attended had a fantastic time. Ex-pupil Samantha Cottrell ended the show on a beautiful note with a truly gorgeous vocal performance.

Special Projects Coordinator, Miss Jones, said “North Liverpool Academy places a lot of importance on itself being a school for the community, in everything we do we try and reflect what the community needs. This event was a great way to invite everyone in and have a fantastic time together.”
