This week we celebrated STEM week at the NLA with a week of science experiments and challenges.
The Dangerous Science Show came to NLA with a fantastic presentation from Peter from Wonderstruck to our years 7, 8 and 9.
One of our students, Harry, won the hovercraft challenge and his homemade hovercraft won him a Ms Binks special STEM cake! Enjoy the cake, Harry!
Year 8 students researched STEM careers with Mr Erickson, whilst in computing students wrote and submitted Python code that will be sent and ran on the Space Station! Year 8 also spent the studying the structure of DNA and built their own DNA models/
13 teams of 3 students also took part in NLA’s inaugural STEM quiz – congratulations to our winners Sheergo, Bashar Rovezi and John.
