This week Sixth Form student Jacob completed a work taster session at Earle Road Medical centre, after successfully applying for an NHS work placement.
During this placement Jacob met with the practice business managers who gave him the background to primary care, the Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group and how General Practice works. He also observed a GP Clinical Session by shadowing Dr Noorpuri from Earle Road, during which he gained a real understanding of how the process of preventative care is the focus of this medical centre.
As a result of this placement Jacob has secured contacts to help him further pursue his career goal of working for the NHS. His attitude, determination and maturity is an example to all students at the Academy, throughout his time at Earle Road he was a credit to the Sixth Form. Well done to Jacob!
