Students celebrate A level success

The Studio is delighted with this year’s strong set of A level results.

All students worked exceptionally hard and demonstrated a fantastic level of commitment over the past two years.

Overall The Studio achieved:

  • 96% A level Pass Rate
  • 100% BTEC Pass Rate
  • 75% A/B grades in Further Maths
  • 92% A*-C in Art/Graphics

A few headline success stories include Jack Mills, our Bafta Young Games Designer award winner who having received a D*DD in his BTECs and an A in his A Level has accepted a place with Liverpool John Moores University to study Games Development.

Also Jonathan Price, a wonderful young man with bags of potential who having achieved D*D joins We Are Nova as Designer/Animator.

Finally we have Najihah Amran who having achieved A*AB including in Maths and Further Maths leaves us to head southwards to join Bath University to study Maths.

Principal Shaun McInerney reflects on an amazing set of results, “I can’t express how proud I am of all our staff and students for putting in so much hard work and enthusiasm. We’ve had excellent results across all three of our subject pathways: Coding, Creativity and Entrepreneurship. We’re taking a different approach to education, and I’m thrilled that it’s working so well.

I’d like to say congratulations to our students, whose next steps include degree courses in Maths, Engineering, History of Art, Games Development, Creative Writing, Graphics, Marketing and Law at some of the best universities in the country, and the students who are going to be heading straight into work at some of Liverpool’s best digital studios.”

We wish all of our students the very best of luck for the future, keep in touch!
