Students complete ‘Race for Life’ in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Over 350 students have competed in North Liverpool Academy’s very own 3K ‘Race for Life’ in aid of Cancer Research UK, raising a total of £4574.44 for charity.
The photographs tell a story of a wet and windy day, but neither staff nor students were deterred by the cold weather. It was a fantastic race with everyone giving their all – fancy dress included!
The event was organised by student Megan and Head of Physical Education, Ms Kennedy whose tremendous effort and dedication has secured a significant donation for the charity!
“I believe that the event was a massive success as we raised nearly £5000 as a school. Organising the event with Miss Kennedy made me feel proud and a sense of achievement as the charity is close to my heart. The turn out on the day was amazing! Thank you to everyone that helped out; raised money and participated in the event.” – Megan
The Academy wishes to congratulate and thank everyone that got involved and made a contribution!
Miss Kennedy added “The event was a huge success and give our students the opportunity to work together as one big team and fight for a really worthy cause. I was extremely proud on the day and I would like to thank all students who raised money, ran the event or helped organise the event.”
