Last week a diligent group of Sixth Form students attended the University Search Fair at Manchester United’s famous Old Trafford ground. The Fair’s aim was to give students the opportunity to speak with universities directly, attend the many seminars from celebrity speakers and gain expert help with their UCAS personal statement.
North Liverpool Academy students took full advantage of all the activities on offer, speaking to dozens of different universities. After lunch, the students listened to guest speakers explain the benefits of further education and then attended a Panel Discussion to trouble shoot common problems students face when applying to University.
The students were thrilled to have taken part, student Ryan commented “There were universities there I had never even thought about and some of the courses looked really good!” Friend Jade echoed Ryan’s thoughts adding “I liked being able to speak to a person about each university or course offered. I use the internet all the time but talking to somebody made it easier to understand.”
The students now continue with their UCAS applications and we look forward to helping them with this next stage of their journey.
