Dear Parents and Carers
North Liverpool Academy, together with The Northern Schools Trust and Governors are consulting with stakeholders including the Local Authority, Public Health England and the Department for Education on plans to reopen our school. We will not be opening the building on the 1st June but will be maintaining our virtual school for all students.
As you will be aware, our students have weekly live lessons to log in to for their subjects, as well as the online activities which are set for when they would have had a lesson. They should be attending and contributing towards the weekly online assemblies and taking part in the departmental competitions in order to have a chance of winning voucher prizes. We are currently preparing a further hardcopy pack of learning resources, which will be posted home at some point after the half term break.
We are working on an appropriate phased return, beginning with Years 10 and 12. We will notify all parents in good time. We will provide details of the scheduled sessions and a list of the activities we have undertaken to ensure we have a safe school environment.
Where the Year 10 and 12 students are living with shielding in their homes or clinically vulnerable family members, we can arrange for the phased return to include the opportunity for the face to face support to be provided on a one-to-one basis, through a virtual platform and all resources will be posted home.
Our virtual school will continue to support vulnerable students and children of key workers. Our support programme for vulnerable students will also continue where there is regular contact with students, families and social workers in order to ensure the safety of these students.
If you have any concerns, please contact the school on 0151 2604044 or email [email protected].
