World Record Attempt

Staff and students attempt to break a Guinness World Record – for most people dressed as a dog at one time!

Four hundred and fifty five North Liverpool Academy staff and students donned their dalmatian onesies and gathered in the refectory to break the previous record of 264.

The event raised over £1,000, which will be split between the Benevolent Fund for Merseyside Retired Police Dogs, CLOUD (Changing Lives on Our Doorstep in Widnes) and Missionaries of Charity Homeless Shelter on Seel Street in Liverpool city centre.

Lord Mayor Councillor Erica Kemp attended along with the Official Timer Mike Dooley MBE, a UK Level 4 Athletics Official and our Official Counter – Karen Walker who joined us from Liverpool Schools Sport Partnership.

The school would like to congratulate its staff and students for the fantastic achievement!

The amazing day was all possible thanks to our brilliant sponsors – Merseyside Fire and Rescue, Police Commissioner working for Merseyside, PPG Industries, MPS Supplies, Liverpool Housing Trust, Liverpool Mutual Homes, Your Housing Group, Everton Football Club and Liverpool Football Club.
