It has been a lovely week here at North Liverpool Academy. We have been celebrating our hard working and dedicated teachers, who constantly go above and beyond to deliver a world class education to our students. It is with great pleasure that I can announce that we have received a number of Silver Awards in The Pearson National Teaching Awards such as Mrs. Senior for Teacher of the Year and our excellent Sixth Form Team for Further Education provision. I am sure you will join me in extending a big congratulations to all of our staff.

Welcome back to a brand new half term here at North Liverpool Academy. I have been proud this week to see how our students and staff have pulled together to support our exam year groups. We have had assemblies today and all enjoyed an ice lolly and ice-cream to keep us cool as it begins to warm up. Thank you for the messages of support from parents and families and thankyou to my staff who have given up their time for revision classes early in the mornings, after school and over the weekends and holidays. I am confident that our students will be successful and flourish.

In the penultimate week of this half term, we have seen our Year 11 and Year13 students working incredibly hard to achieve the highest possible grades. Students have also been taking part in a number of initiatives around Mental Health Week 2024 which you can read more about below.

It has been an excellent week of learning and experience here at North Liverpool Academy as the sun begins to show itself. Our Year 11 and 13 cohorts have officially begun their final exams and I am wishing them the world of success. I would also like to extend my gratitude to all the teachers who are offering their personal time: in evenings, weekends and early mornings to support our students during this process.

With only two weeks to go until the Easter Break we have been as busy as ever here at North Liverpool Academy. Our exam students continue to be given every possible chance for success, as evidenced by the hard work and dedication of our staff. It was great to watch our Biggest Ever game of girls football and to see our students working together to win.

It has been an excellent week of learning and experience here at North Liverpool Academy. We have demonstrated once again that our students’ love of reading is at the forefront of what we do, shown wonderfully by the activities of World Book Day 2024. Career pathways have been showcased during our Empower Me event where it was lovely to welcome so many local businesses and community members into NLA.

It has been a wonderful two weeks back at North Liverpool Academy so far. Our year 11 and 13 students have finished their mock exams and will now be working diligently with their teachers to prepare for their exams in a few months and I am wishing them so much success. This week our chess team competed in the Merseyside Chess Semi-Final at St Bridget’s Primary. I’m happy to announce that after a convincing match, our team won 5.5 to 0.5. Onwards and upwards!

Almost another half-term completed here at North Liverpool Academy. It has been a great week as our students have celebrated the importance of Maths in our everyday lives. It was wonderful to learn that one of our Year 7 students, Aman, who is a model student had the chance to interview his Liverpool heroes Jurgen Klopp & Virgil Van Dijk live on Sky Sports. Lastly, I want to wish our Year 11 students the best of luck in their mock exams. I know you can succeed.

It has been an excellent week of learning here at North Liverpool Academy. We are committed to giving our students the best possible experiences both inside the classroom and outside of it. It is an absolute joy to extend my congratulations to our five Year 13 students who have secured offers from Cambridge University to read subjects from Medicine to Architecture. NLA Sixth Form is committed to raising aspirations and securing elite university places.

What a start to 2024 it has been. We have managed to keep our school open during the snowy weather and allow our students to continue learning, which is our first priority as a school community. With Christmas around the corner, it has been lovely to see so many of our staff and students get involved in the Community Spirit during Elf Yourself. On top of that our Christmas show, The Tempest, was a great success. A reminder that the term finishes on Thursday 21st December and we expect to see all students in.

It has been an excellent start to the year for both Year 12 & 13. Year 13 have now completed their mock examinations and are working with our subject specialists to secure the best possible grades this summer. It was great to meet so many potential Year 12 applicants at our recent Open Evening, both internal and external. We offer ambitious pathways with a track record of success that leads our
students to the best universities in the country, including Oxbridge. This year we have entered 13 students for early entry to Oxbridge in degrees ranging from Physics and English Literature to Computer Science and Architecture. So don’t miss out on your future. Applications are now open to join us in 2024.

It has been an excellent week here at North Liverpool Academy. Our high flying Chess teams visited Gateacre School for aChess competition with both Team A and B clinching first place. We can’t wait to take part in Children in Need on Fridayevening with a twenty-four hour Just Dance marathon here at NLA.

It has been an excellent start to the term here at North Liverpool Academy. It was great to meet so many prospective Year 12students, both internal and external, at our Sixth Form Open Evening event.

What a great penultimate week of half term it has been. It was lovely to meet so many potential Scholars students during our information evening. It has been heartening to see so many celebrations taking place in lessons for Black History Month, which in the context of our school should be celebrated and championed.

What an excellent week it has been with many experiences taking place to bolster the learning of our students. A quick reminder to parents that for Year 7 2024 applications, you must submit an application via the Local Authority Portal, and then complete our application which can be found on our website before the October 31st deadline. The final step is to book your students’ CAT4 Assessment.

Over the weekend, two of our Chess teams visited Eton College to take part in the Secondary Schools Rapid plays, which was such a valuable experience and a chance for them to compete with the best chess players in the country. A reminder to all potential Year 7 parents and careers that the deadline for applications is October 31st 2023
