Our Year Teams

Each day we strive to achieve our NLA school vision:

All children and young adults make exceptional progress whatever their background, academically, socially and emotionally through world class learning opportunities. Our resilient students will be responsible, active citizens, who can compete and thrive regionally, nationally and globally.

Our Year Teams are the engine rooms of the academy, enabling our vision to become a reality. The Year Leaders in each year group (Yr7-11), together with their team of form tutors, are committed to ensuring every student has the highest of standards. They support and challenge everyone in the year group to follow the NLA ‘Basic 10’ and to display our core values, ACE – Aspire – Experience – Community on a minute by minute basis in school and beyond.

Our Year Leaders have a wealth of experience in supporting students to achieve their best academically, socially and emotionally.

  1. Hard work – always try your best.

  3. Respect – treat people they way you would want people to treat you.

Ms Meighan

Ms Meighan is the Year Leader for the all students currently in Year 8.

Ms Meighen’s time at NLA has taught her that every single one of her students is unique in their own way and she is determined for all students in Year 8 to achieve their potential.

She is eager to encourage all students to be the best version of themselves at all times.

Ms Murphy

Ms Murphy is excited to be Year Leader for Year 9.

She aims to provide an atmosphere in which all students are confident, safe and valued individuals. This environment will support students to achieve their true academic potential and reach their goals.

The key to success is working together to reach your potential.

Miss Wilson

Year 10 Year Leader

Miss Wilson joined North Liverpool Academy in 2010 and is the Year Leader of our Year 10 cohort.

Miss Wilson aims to create a supportive, encouraging and enriching atmosphere.

One where students, and their families, feel a part of something special and are able and encouraged to reach their potential.

Ms Mutch

Year Leader

Ms Mutch is a Year Leader.  She started as a teaching assistant with little intention of staying at NLA long term. After a short time, she realised she couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. The students at NLA captured her heart and she endeavours to support them through their school years.

She believes that we should treat others with kindness and respect.
