Welcome to North Liverpool Academy Sixth Form
At North Liverpool Academy Sixth Form we are focused on helping our students get great results, but also to achieve their full potential by providing a supportive learning environment for them to flourish in. Our courses are led by subject specialists with an impressive record in helping students gain A level and BTEC qualifications. Our past results show that our students perform well in our caring and supportive learning environment, which is underpinned by our core values, and go on to achieve great things.
Our Sixth Form is an exciting place to learn and we, alongside our students, create a culture of aspiration, independence, confidence and respect. Students graduate from the NLA Sixth Form with a broad range of skills and the confidence to succeed in an ever-changing world.
We are excited to welcome you here and if you are considering joining us at Sixth Form, we encourage you to attend one of our open evenings to find out more.
We look forward to meeting you.

Sixth Form Ethos
We appreciate that progressing to 6th Form study from high school might seem a big step in Y11, but we work hard to provide an atmosphere and ethos that ensures every one of our students can quickly adjust and feel at home here. The ethos of NLA 6th Form is a supportive and ambitious learning community whereby every individual has both the material resources, experiences beyond the curriculum, and 1:1 support of their tutors and peers to thrive and fulfil their potential.
NLA 6th Form provides a professional and mature learning environment for our students as they move on from their high school education. Our focus is ensuring that an excellent classroom experience is complemented with the opportunities to learn and grow as a young 6th Form professional through enriching experiences and opportunities beyond the classroom. Our students wear smart business dress, meaning they would blend in to any professional office environment, to give them the experience and confidence ready for the professional workplace and university study.

Careers and university

If you are considering taking the further education route, the NLA carries a full range of university prospectuses which are available in the LRC. Alternatively, all information is also readily available through university websites and the UCAS website.
Sixth Form Vision
NLA 6th Form is a post-16 destination for students who are ambitious for themselves and wish to benefit from high quality teaching in a modern learning environment. We are proud to provide every student with the support and opportunity beyond the curriculum to gain experience of working with academic and industry professionals.
The health of NLA 6th Form is seen in the destinations of our students in 2019/20, 89% progressing to university study, with 35% taking up places at highly selective Russell Group universities including Oxford, Imperial College, Warwick., Liverpool and Bristol.
We are building upon our success, and look forward to welcoming ambitious and aspirational students from across the city to join us and make the most of the opportunities available to fulfil their potential at NLA 6th Form.
