Personal Health Social Education (PSHE)

The Academy mission statement is ‘Aspire, Community, Experience.

The PSHE agenda is central to the ethos of the North Liverpool Academy. The programme brings together the personal health social education (PHSE), Relationships Sex Education (RSE), spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC), social and emotional aspects of learning (SEAL) and supports careers information and guidance (CIAG).These are delivered through multiple channels including house ethos, assembly programme, rewards programme, form time provision, enrichment days, external trips and enrichment after school.

The programme allows our students to experience positive and exciting opportunities, but also challenges and risks. The intent being to prepare young independent people who are able to manage their personal and social lives in a positive and safe way within the community. It also allows the students the opportunities to acquire a portfolio of skills and experiences to motivate them to aspire and achieve their ambitions and goals for the future, in order to secure employment and a successful career.
