Morning Day 1
Year 9 Bronze and Year 12 Silver students have started their DofE expeditions. Students begun learning basic map-reading skills to help them navigate to their overnight camp. We have been blessed with beautiful weather and breathtaking scenery.
End of Day 1
For Bronze and Silver, students completed a 10km route, finished off with dinner in the sunshine and some downtime playing games.
Morning Day 2
After a very cold night, we enjoyed breakfast in the sun and collected our litter to ensure we left no trace.
Afternoon Day 2
Another beautiful day of warm weather for our DofE students. Bronze students encountered some trickier navigation and gloopy mud, but all managed to successfully complete their Day 2 routes of the expedition.
Silver Students continued to walk towards Scorton near Garstang.
End of Day 2
Year 12 Silver DofE students have completed Day 2 from Waddecar to Greaves Farm- a 17km walk in beautiful countryside and under the blue sky. Their navigational skills improved on each leg and their teamwork and leadership skills have been incredible.
More updates on the way . . . stay tuned!
